Who Are We?

Here you can find out how it all got started, who we are and what we do!

Zurich Netball Club was founded in spring 2009 by a group of expat ladies, most of whom had not played netball since chunky PE teachers put them in for primary school sports tournaments in the pouring rain.

Since then we have come a long way. We are an ever growing squad made up of total beginners to national representatives. Our Wednesday night sessions include training and game play. Each year we run an in-club Lion’s League competition, we regularly hold beginner/bring a friend nights, and once a month we play a match against our fiercest  rivals, Netball Zug. We attend the Swiss Netball National Peppermill Competition (with a winning streak from 2012-2015) and International Tournaments across Europe. We hold monthly after-netball drinks and regular social events.

The aim of the game is to keep fit and have fun doing it, so we really encourage newcomers and experienced players alike to come along and join in the fun at Zurich.

Zurich Netball Club is a member of Swiss Netball, the National Netball Association. Swiss Netball is a full member of INF, the International Netball Federation. Find out more here: swissnetball.ch

If you have any questions about Zurich Netball Club, you can reach out to the committee, who will be happy to help in anyway they can.

  1. Hi
I am moving to CH in January, used to play something similar to Netball, would love to give it a try, how far are you from Zug?
Also, is this team meant to compete or can one just go for fun? I haven’t touched a ball since i was 18!
