The Christmas and New Year’s celebrations are long behind us and you’ve probably already had your first day back in work in 2020. Combine that with the facts that exercise routines during the festive season have gone out of the window and you might be weighing slightly more than you did 2 weeks ago and January can be a depressing month.
If only there was a way to banish the blues and get back into a healthy routine?
Well, there is! Come and Jump Into Jan with Zurich Netball Club. With skills training, core conditioning and match practices, there isn’t a better way to kick-start your health goals in 2020. As an added incentive, the best attendees in January will be treated to a drink down the local as a reward. Just come to the sessions on 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th of January and a refreshing cool drink will be waiting for you.
Or perhaps this is the year that you promised yourself that you would try something new. Netball is a great sport to help improve your fitness, reaction times and is fantastic fun! Why don’t you come along for a taster of why 20 million people in 72 countries are mad about this sport?
As a club we are always looking for new players to come join us. It doesn’t matter if you are an experienced player or a complete novice. If you would like to be part of a social sporting society, feel free to email the committee at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We hope to see you on the 8th so we can all Jump Into Jan together!
As everyone continues their summer holidays, enjoying soaking up the sun and swimming in the lake, we’re having a summer break from Netball.
We’ll be back in September, kicking off Wednesday night training sessions again from the 4th of September. We’ll get back into weekly netball training sessions, monthly Zug matches, and preparation for the Amsterdam tournament in October.
Beautiful Summer in Zürich
Have a great summer, and see you all in September!
Last month, Zürich Netball Club competed in the Berlin Netball Tournament. The competition was strong with teams from Berlin, Amsterdam, Stockholm, Brussels and Hamburg. After a tough day of matches, Zürich came 3rd out of 9! In addition, Zürich Netball Club were awarded “Friendliest Team”.
Well done ladies, we’re very proud of you, and looking very sharp in the bright pink tops.
The next tournament we are preparing for is Amsterdam in October! On the weekend of the 12th, there is expected to be 18 teams competing from all around Europe. Only a couple of months away, time to start training! Please reach out to the Zurich Netball Committee if you are interested in attending.
Due to the recent heatwave, we’ve had to replace our last couple of Wednesday night training sessions with Swim & Gin sessions. For the rest of July, we expect to be back on the court, though due to summer holidays, low attendance may move us back to the lake! Keep an eye on your inbox for updates.
The sun is out and we’re jumping for joy because Summer is here, meaning we can finally play outside!
Come join Zurich Netball Club for some outside training and matches in the beautfiul summer sun every Wednesday evening in June. Contact the committee for details.
We may also be running another Lion’s League over the summer, as well as a few Swim & Gin sessions at the lake. Stay tuned for more info!

As we look forward to spring at Zurich Netball, we would like to encourage new folk to the club. We will therefore be hosting a Netball Beginners and Newbies night next Wednesday 29th March at the usual time of 7 – 8.30pm at ICS Zumikon.
The session will include back-to-basics skills and is open to everyone, whether a returning netball player, new to the game or trying to get back into fitness. Existing members are of course encouraged to come along too, to share their love of netball.
We will follow the training with drinks somewhere around Stadelhofen, venue tbc.
Please sign up on the doodle, and feel free to pass it along to any colleagues or friends who would be interested too – just remember to sign up so the coaches know who to expect.
Any questions, please let us know!
